It can cost over $35,000 for a medical evacuation from Norfolk
Island. Please remember to
bring your passport and drivers license (if you plan to drive).
Also, remember that all flights depart from the International
Terminal.
Now to get you to
Norfolk Island...
From New Zealand
You may be able to redeem
your frequent flier points to get to Norfolk Island from New Zealand
on Air New Zealand flight NZ214.
So go ahead and use
your frequent flier points on Star Alliance airlines such as Air New
Zealand, United Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Thai
Airlines and Lufthansa. Sorry, you will still need to pay your
airport taxes - but the rest is probably free!
Air New Zealand fly to
Norfolk Island every Thursday and Sunday morning (changing to
Wednesday evening and Sunday between from 1 April 2008 and October
2008). We recommend visiting
www.airnz.co.nz for purchasing
very attractive airfares to Norfolk Island on Air New Zealand.
Air NZ offers the lowest
airfare from Christchurch, Wellington or Auckland to Norfolk Island,
the cheapest and closest foreign destination from New Zealand.
Prices are usually the same to Norfolk Island from any of these three
departure cities.
From Australia
For Australian passengers, please
note that the airline service is operated by
Ozjet with ticketing and
ground arrangements by Qantas and underwritten
by the Norfolk Island Government through Norfolk Air, with flights on Saturdays, Sundays
and Wednesdays from both Sydney and Brisbane, as well as Friday
and Tuesday
flights from Melbourne. Also, direct flights
from Newcastle operate every Monday.
From 2 October, 2008, the new service
from the Gold Coast starts operating. The flights will leave
Gold Coast Airport, Coolangatta, at 10.30am every Thursday and
arrive on the island at 2.05pm local time. Return flights will leave
at 3.05pm the same day, arriving back on the Gold Coast at 3.50pm.
Qantas Frequent flier
points may be redeemable for flights to Norfolk Island. Please check with your Qantas Club for
details.

For travel originating in other cities
such as Adelaide, Canberra, Perth, Hobart, etc. an add-on fare will
apply. Please ask for a
package quote.
If you are travelling alone from
Sydney, Brisbane or Newcastle, the Studio package is ideal for $1,544
plus taxes of $210, or from Melbourne for $1,694 plus taxes of $210. All
prices include 9% Norfolk GST.
For longer or shorter package deals,
please add or deduct the nightly rate per person
from the total package price.
The Deluxe cottage is larger and more luxurious than the Superior Two Bedroom
cottage. It also has market umbrella, patio heater, larger deck, etc.
Both have exactly the same facilities though, such as DVD players,
heated towel rails, electric blankets, gas heaters, and both are rated
at 4 stars.
The Executive Two Bedroom Spa
cottage
has two bathrooms, spa bath with whisper jets, King Beds, two decks
(front and back), very large living room and very large kitchen.
